The Student Representative Committee has launched a new Breakfast Bar initiative to fill grumbly student tummies on early mornings.
The Breakfast Bar is situated on the bottom floor of the atrium and will be serving Vietnamese style scrambled eggs rolls for just three dollars, presenting the cheapest breakfast option in the food court.
Alistair Booth, who is the undergraduate representative on the SRC, said the bar was developed after having received feedback that many students were skipping breakfast due to the rush of early morning class and the lack of available breakfast options on campus.
“The SRC has been working closely with Campus Life to develop a tasty, quick, healthy and affordable breakfast option for students to enjoy on those dreaded early mornings”, Booth said.
The Bar has already had its first week, which was met with great success and saw the sale over 100 rolls on its opening day. Booth says if the Bar remains successful it will be “expanding its times, days and menu in the months to come”.
The Bar will be running for one more week, serving rolls between 8am – 10.30am.
