This is about reasserting Newtown’s identity as a beautiful community of queers, weirdoes, freaks, hippies, goths, punks, ferals, migrants and everyone else who doesn’t fit in elsewhere.

The Fetish Markets

Passionate, colourful and seriously kinky stallholders will be selling their quality handmade leather goods, alternative clothing, jewellery, rope, accessories, and much more at Sanctuary’s Fetish Market

Cats & Cakes

There will be a bunch of adorable cats and kittens hunting for a forever home! There will be cupcakes by Bunny Cups – vegan egg & dairy free cupcakes, plus in honour of our party all adoption prices will be discounted to $125 for kittens (under 1 year) and $75 for cats.

Creative Writing at Sydney School of Arts and Humanities

Members of this narrative writing group meet weekly in Sydney to encourage and review each other’s writing. The work created t the workshop have been progressively published in the form of ebooks, alongside books by established writers

Through participatory performance, re-enactment and lectures, Making History examines how feminist methodologies and alternative historiographical approaches can be used to reimagine past acts and events in the here-and-now.
