The Forrester’s weekly stand up comedy session is back. This week Ray Badran and James Smith will be performing.


Thursday 5 September

Bushcare@MQ. 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. At the intersection of Mars Creek and Gymnasium Road, Macquarie University

Cost: Free

Bushcare@MQ meets monthly at Mars Creek to help preserve the biodiversity of our beautiful campus. Tools, equipment and afternoon tea will be provided. Sessions involve weeding and planting of trees, shrubs and groundcovers.

East is East Night Market

From 6:30 – 9:30pm at the TAP Gallery (Level 1/278 Palmer St Darlinghurst 2010)

Cost: All sale goods are strictly handmade and under $80

Liz Raleigh, the founder of East is East boutique market in Kensington, has launched a night market of the same name where handmade, locally produced products are available for $80 or less. Stalls include products by a variety of designers such as vintage clothing by Annie Lou’s Closet, Seventh Tree Soaps, graphic tees by Uncle Fritz and intricate ceramics from Niharika Hukku to name a few.

At 9pm at Goodgod Small Club (Front Bar, 53-55 Liverpool St, Sydney 2000)

Cost: FREE

The free rock’n’roll mess hall plays garage, punk, fuzz and soul. On every Friday this niche bar, canteen and danceteria is something not to be missed.
