By 2050 the world’s population could grow to 9 billion people, putting significant strain on energy and resources. We need to take an active role in discussing solutions to the world energy supply challenges, and Shell is asking for university students to share their opinions by submitting a 1,000 word essay answering the question “Where should the world get its’ future energy from?”

Eight successful entrants will be invited to prevent their paper and participate in a debate at Shell’s Global Energy Forums in Sydney in the presence of key industry leaders. The winning students will also receive a $1,500 Coles Group & Myer gift card.

Students can enter by sending their essay and details to shellglobalenergyforum@edelman.com. Entries are open from Monday 9 September and close at 5pm AEST on Friday 20 September 2013. For more information, visit www.shell.com.au/globalenergyforum.
