1 May – 28 July: The Jeff Wall Photographs Exhibition is now displaying 27 works at the Museum of Contemporary Art. An overview of his three decade career with some of his more famous pieces on display. Entry is free. www.mca.com.au/exhibition/jeff-wall-photographs/

1 July 2013 – 30 June 2014: The City of Shadows exhibition opens this month and will be showcasing a collection of forensic photography from 1912 to 1960. An array of criminals spanning from prostitutes and dope peddlers to thieves and the odd murderer. 5 – 6 July: The Asia Pacific Invitational Robotics Competition at Macquarie Theatre will showcase student-built robots, who will be participating in an Ultimate Frisbee-esque game for robots. Entry is free. www.firstaustralia.org/node/54

9 July: Postgraduate Information Night will be a free event that will help students to fast- track their careers, increase their salaries and help with specific situations and goals. 12 – 14 July: The Bleu Blanc Rouge festival is a three day festival celebrating French culture in Circular Quay. 13 – 15 July: Powershift 2013 Australia’s biggest youth summit will be held in Melbourne. Everyone with an interest in the big issues – politics, climate change, human rights and poverty – should come along to this life changing event. 18 July: Local historian, Kevin Shaw, will be giving a talk about World heritage-listed sites in New South Wales, Norfolk Island, Tasmania and Western Australia.
